highly recommend - your weed ash should be white, winter in a tea blend, fungi, pubes, and herbs

🥦 your flower (weed) should turn white after combustion (aka you brought ur lighter to it). white ash means no pesticides were used while growing the plant. if your flower ash is black- its time to find another grower/brand. and if you're in one of those lucky states with dispensaries - ask for products that are pesticide free!
🫖 juniper ridge botanical teas are some of my favorite. well specifically the douglas fir spring tip blend. it warms my soul and bones. somehow tastes like winter but in a warming way- well i suppose the tea is hot :) i reuse the tea bag because its strong and fragrant. i also think this is a great gift to give to yourself in honor of winter - but also a great gift for a friend- a friend gifted me a box years ago and now it will forever be in my tea cabinet
📚 entangled life; how fungi make our worlds & change our minds is such a good book.did i already write about it? eh who cares. i loved listening to it. like its truly amazing what mushrooms have impacted this planet and humans! its not just about psychedelic mushrooms- Merlin Sheldrake explores it all - how mushrooms gave us bread and their medicinal properties. did you know there are mushrooms that can digest plastic?! and the oyster mushroom is one of them!! ugh mushrooms are so cool
🛀 a friendly reminder to condition your pubes. take a comb to them once the conditioner is in. there's no reason to neglect. and even better if you abide by the winter growing out period.
🌱 drying herbs. if you happen to have an herb garden- now is the time to harvest what you got and make it last for the winter! give everything a good wash and let the water fully evaporate. you can then dry the herbs or freeze them in oil using ice cube trays. personally i dried my sage, rosemary, and parsley. froze tarragon in oil. kept the seeds from chives and shiso. and gonna see what happens to the lemon grass
