refresh that aiiiiiir 🌬
but in a natural, more sustainable ♻️ way!
all of those commercial air fresheners are not good for you. I don't even need to see the ingredients to know. the smells alone make me nauseous, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense- since its supposed to be freshening your air... 🤔
i combat stank with natural fresheners!
aka essential oils and cotton balls 🤗
these little wonders of the world can go anywhere!
▫️drop some essential oil on a cotton ball and put it in your AC- window uint, wall unit, car unit. i haven't tried using it on a fan, but maybe that could work?!
i keep a canvas pouch in the car- it contains lavender oil and extra cotton balls. i drop some oil on the cotton, stuff it in the vent, and voila!
▫️i use pine needle essential oil on the cotton balls for the bottom of my trash bin
▫️citronella oil on a cotton ball near your bed (so like night stand?) would be great for those summer mosquitos
▫️i dropped some eucalyptus oil on a cotton ball, let the oil/cotton ball dry, and then placed it inside my vacuum. i make delicious smelling air while vacuuming. like wtf!!
be imaginative! your homemade air freshener can go anywhere
*bonus tip*
keep a thing of your fav essential oil on you while you're out and about. this is a great way to freshen yourself up (aka cover up that weedy skunky smell 😉), freshen the air around you by opening the bottle and just smelling it or dab a little oil around your neck n nose (yes im looking at you NYC summer so gross are the smells), you can also rub some on your limbs when you find yourself outside afterwork and want to keep the mosquitos at bay
