🌬 boveda is a humidity control packet that helps keep freshness, aroma, and protects your terpenes. i especially love using boveda packets because yeah sure i smoke every day, but im a microdoser- so my flower lasts me some time, which also means my flower is prone to drying out/decrease in potency/loss of terpenes. but not with boveda- i just stick one inside my flower container (which is usually a bag lol)

🖼 crypto art. it's a great way to dismantle museums and galleries which are run by small groups of wealthy elites and redistribute wealth. museums and galleries tend to act as gatekeepers (and thieves? looking at you museums) - not expanders. i really enjoyed this article, by Devon Moore, explaining how through NFTs (non-fungible tokens), "a purchase of Black-owned art" is "a truly efficient way to preserve and invest in Black empowerment." if we're going to talk abut crypto, then we have to talk about its energy consumption. while crypto does consume a lot of energy, i don't think that will be the case for much longer. a blockchain system is decentralized, which means individuals have to foot their energy bill and a lot of miners are moving to solar or renewable energy. compared to big behemoth corps where the move to decrease energy consumption moves at a much slower pace. the blockchain system itself can also make modifications to decrease energy usage. instead of rewarding newly mined coins (which consumes energy), the system can reward proof of stake - which means the members who are betting on/believing in/holding on to the coins will be rewarded. if you're gonna come after crypto energy usage, plz go after every other industry too. including film festivals, conferences, music performances. the majority of us are completely disconnected to what energy usage physically looks like on this planet. this beautiful article by Joanie Lemercier is a must read.

📚 The Case Against Education by Bryan Caplan is a good read. forever learning and building knowledge is essential, but our current education system is trash and promotes the system in place- keeping the majority oppressed and the upper, white class in power.

🤑 money. its what our current society is built on. i used to be deeply uncomfortable around money, the idea of money. having money. wanting money. but i've been working on that. two things that really helped me better understand my relationship with money - 1. Holisticisms' money belief consent exercise, and this lil snippet from Chamath Palihapititya.
