mushrooms, clouds, & the belly brain

i went on a big mushroom trip last week and it was full of laughter, joyful tears, and plant conversations. here are my key takeaways
1. clouds ☁️ are honestly magical. they move in 5 dimensions. im constantly in awe
2. humans have a lot to learn from plants 🌱 the notion that humans are the smartest of the species cracks me up. imagine if we were more like plants- WE HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN!
3. the belly brain 🧠everything begins with the belly - it's where nutrition and information is transmitted to the embryo. it's where we nourish ourselves. we even get those gut feelings. i can't stop thinking about how we need to reprogram so we can actively listen to our bellies. yes, i think preservatives and processed foods create noise and pollution (not saying to cut it out, just to be aware cuz we human and i love salt n vinegar potato chips), but it goes deeper than that. ginger might work well with me, but not for you. or maybe it works some days, and not on other days. i think there's a lot we can learn from Ayurvedic medicine and getting in touch with and trust our belly brain.
